The body is made from hot dip galvanised malleable iron for water, air and general pipework applications. Use suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape on the male BSP threads before installing into female connections.

Avoid joining brass, galvanised and stainless steel fittings directly to one another. Use a plastic or other suitable non-conductive fitting or adaptor between different metals to prevent galvanic corrosion where water is present.
