The Franklin 3AMH2B-51 package supplies clean water for household use, garden irrigation and water distribution. It includes a fixed-speed multistage pump, a pressure switch and a 35L pressure tank.
Flow/head reference: 50LPM at 15.5m head.
Maximum pump head: 22.4m.
The flow/head reference is a paired operating point. Maximum head occurs at zero flow, separately from the listed flow. Allow for height differences and pipe losses when checking the pump’s suitability.
Pump inlet: 1 1/4" BSP female thread.
Pump outlet: 1" BSP female thread.
The included 35L tank stores water under pressure, allowing some water to be drawn before the pump restarts. Its 35L size is the nominal vessel capacity, not the usable water volume between starts; usable storage depends on the pressure-switch settings and tank precharge.
The pressure switch starts the pump when water pressure falls to its start setting and stops it at its stop setting. Pressure varies between these settings during use. An installer sets the switch and tank precharge to suit the required supply, the pump’s capacity and the pressure ratings of the tank and pipework.
Tank size affects the amount of stored water and how frequently the pump starts. It does not increase the pump’s available flow or head.
Use clean water without sand, solids or fibres. The pump body, impellers and diffusers use 300-series stainless steel.
The pump is not self-priming. Fill the pump and suction pipe with clean water before starting, and use a suitable valve arrangement to retain that water where suction lift is required. Install on a firm base with drainage and motor ventilation, following the pump manual.
Supplied for a 220–240V single-phase, 50Hz supply with an AU/NZ plug. Do not let the pump run without water; arrange suitable protection against loss of supply.
