Actual flow depends on pumping lift, required outlet pressure and pipe resistance. Use the matching performance curve to assess expected flow for the installation.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe outlet is 32mm (1 1\/4\") BSP female thread. A built-in non-return valve reduces backflow when the pump stops. These pumps handle clean bore water with up to 150g\/m3 of sand.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA suitable external starter and motor overload protection are required. Motor overload protection must match the current on the included motor nameplate.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor automatic tank filling or pressure operation, connect suitable level or pressure controls. Use dry-running protection where a falling water level could expose the pump. Extend the motor lead with correctly sized submersible cable and a suitable waterproof joint. Position the pump clear of the bore bottom and accumulated sediment. Support it using suitable pipework and installation hardware. Never lift or suspend it by its electrical cable.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWater temperature is limited to 35°C. Water must move around the outside of the motor at least 0.08m\/s (8cm\/s) to remove heat. Fit a cooling sleeve if the installation cannot provide that flow, including unsuitable wide-bore or tank arrangements. Keep the pump submerged and do not run it dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pump casing, shaft, strainer and cable guard are stainless steel, with a cast stainless-steel discharge head and motor adapter.
